Photo | Fire Spitting Black Widow

I placed my Canon 1D MKIIn camera on motor drive while I shot my Black Widow. The camera takes 8.5 shots per second in this mode, and I made sure to get the shutter speed pumped all the way up to 1/8000th of a second. I wasn't able to capture any bullets leaving the barrel, but I sure did see some unexpected artifacts: Smoke curls coming out of the barrel immediately after shooting and the burning embers of gun powder during the recoil as demonstrated below.
